Correlation of Markers of Inflammation with Anthropometric Indices in Obese and Overweight Adults

Background: Obesity has been found to be associated with low grade inflammation characterized by increased levels of inflammatory cytokines. Various anthropometric measurements have shown complications obesity. Determining the most exact index overweight and obesity that best correlates markers will helpful for early prevention related disorders. Aim: To determine correlation between (hs-CRP TNF α) indices such as body mass indices, waist circumference hip ratio among study population. Method: Two hundred twenty obese individuals were involved in this study, fifty five normal BMI groups control recruited from staff hospital patient relatives community residents within a four month period. The include: weight, height, abdominal circumference, circumference. Body index, Waist calculated measurements. Serum TNF- α ) measured using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay reagent kit Span biotech limited. Results: an increase across stages WHO classification based on (overweight, stage one, two three) significant indices. Conclusion: There is association (Body ratio, circumference) adults.
